My name is Mike Harned and I live in Anchorage Alaska and I am the Alaskan Duck Hunter, and I had a dream that when I retired I would follow the waterfowl migration from Alaska to Texas. I made a trial run in 2005 and really had a great trip and looked forward to getting to Texas.
Well I did retire on April 1, 2008 and started on my hunts, but things haven't gone quite the way I planned. The weather never seems to want to cooperate so the migration gets holed up somewhere and I need to be somewhere else. So I have changed my goal and want to hunt in as many States as I can before I go to the big blind in the sky. So far I have covered 11 States (AK, WA, OR, CA, MN, ND, SD, MD AR, MS, and IA) and four Providences (YT, MB, AB, SK) and hope to hit a couple of different States each year.
